Area AttractionsThe City of Sudbury has much to offer travelers. It is known as the Nickel Capital of the World, as that is the primary mineral mined here. While you are in Sudbury, be sure to visit Science North, home of the IMAX and Virtual Ride theatres, or take the Big Nickel tour. Both are educational and fun!
If you are looking for something relaxing to do you can walk along one of our beautiful trails or take a one-hour cruise on Ramsey Lake, Canada's largest city-contained lake. The Cortina leaves the Science North dock daily from June to late September. The boat is fully enclosed and is restroom equipped. Licensed bar and snacks available.
